Operates 17 public schools in the local community, including one primary school, seven elementary schools, five middle schools, and four high schools.

The MaST Early College High School (Marine Sciences and Technologies) is located on the campus of Carteret Community College.

Offers informational seminars of the local heritage of waterfowl decoy carving, historical seminars of the people, places, and culture of the Core Sound region of the county.

News

The Board of Education (BOE) is responsible for filling four positions on the community college’s Board of Trustees. This position can not be held by a person currently employed by the public schools, or by anyone who held a position at the local community college within the past five years.

On October 15, 2019, the BOE asked that anyone interested in filling this position to submit a resume to the Superintendent’s Office by 5 p.m. on October 22, 2019. This position will be filled on November 6, 2019.
