December 16 News

The Carteret County Board of Education held an emergency meeting today and heard from Dr. Rob Jackson who asked that local schools revert back to 100% virtual learning after the winter break due to a projected spike in Covid-19 cases. The board approved the measure 5-2.

Under this decision, students will return back to the current plan on January 19, 2021 pending no further directives.
