January 2020 – On Saturday, March 7th, 34 degrees North Restaurant will host a beer festival, but on January 15th this restaurant will unveil a secret ingredient that all five breweries must use to create a new beer. This new beer each brewery creates using the secret ingredient will be a part of the beer festival in March. The secret ingredients chosen are: Crystal Coast received Mexican Corn, Fishtowne got Reese’s cups, Tight Lines chose banana foster, Shortway received oysters Rockefeller, and Mill Whistle chose Bloody Mary.
December 2019 – Crystal Coast Brewing Company announced a partnership with FreeBird Distribution of Raleigh which will allow for this local microbrewery to expand it’s award winning craft beer to many other regions in North Carolina. Specifically, the partnership with FreeBird Distribution will allow Crystal Coast Brewing Company to distribute their offerings to 42 counties in the state.
November 2019 – Crystal Coast Brewing won several awards for their flagship beers Atlantic Beach Blonde Lager and Crystal Coast IPA
September 28, 2019 – The 4th annual Beaufort Wine And Food festival hosted several craft beer events at local pubs and bars. Local establishments that participated in beer events included Fishtowne Brew House, Backstreet Pub, Beaufort Olive Oil, Finz Restaurant, Royal James Cafe, Beaufort Grocery, and Black sheep. Profits from this pub crawl went to people still being affected by recent hurricanes.
