The Town of Morehead City NC is a central business district of the county and largest town in the area making it a travel destination for people looking to conduct business in the local area. Once Interstate 42 is completed, communities in the county will grow and develop very fast as new industry moves in to the area, along with a growing population. The projected completion date for Interstate 42 is 2028.
Given Interstate 42 and new development, we expect to see the local airport in Beaufort NC being expanded dramatically, or a new airport being built somewhere in the county which will handle commercial airline service. At this point, there will be direct flights to Morehead City NC.
