I have a student entering 4th grade and you can be sure that as a parent I am choosing Plan C. I do not for one minute believe that teachers are going to be able to provide academic instruction and learning while making sure every child maintains their masks and social distancing. Nor should teachers be asked to.

The liability here is just mind blowing. It only takes one infection under Plan B to have an impact on other students, their families, teachers, and their families. It will be interesting to see what the Superintendent and educational board decides but I am thankful that Governor Cooper gave the option for parents to choose Plan C.
