Jacks Bar Pizza Food Truck
Jacks Bar is located on the waterfront in downtown and is a local bar that is pretty popular for live music, hanging out, and dancing. But in the Spring, Summer, and early Fall months during tourist season, they maintain a pizza food truck that is actually very good and quick. So, if it’s 2 am and you need pizza, GPS the location and jump on it.
OK, so traditionally not a fast food restaurant, but it’s still pretty fast and this location is open 24 hours a day so we wanted to mention it. It has the usual breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees. The Waffle House is located on Highway 70 West near the intersection of Highway 70 and Highway 24.
Traditional Fast Food Locations
McDonalds, Arbys, Chik-fil-A, Sonic, Wendys, Dunkin Donut, and No Name Pizza are located on Highway 70 with McDonalds drive thru being the only one open 24 hours a day. Drop any one of these establishments in your GPS as they are all within a few hundred yards of each other.
Again, not typically traditional, but Luigi’s Pizza, Tsunami Chinese Buffet, and Jersey Mikes subs are located in this area as well.
Bojangles Chicken, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Cook Out are all centrally located on Arendell St in Morehead City NC. Drop it in your GPS and let’s eat! Again, not traditional, but very fast sit down food, look for Cox Restaurant, Ioannis Grill, Dank Burrito, Captains Table, and Golden Corral. All are within a 1/2 mile of the establishments above.
Hardees and Dairy Queen are located on Arendell St near the Atlantic Beach bridge.
Harris Teeter and Walmart are open 24 hours a day and their deli departments usually create boxed food sandwiches, chicken, pizza, salads, and subs if you are out shopping and need a fast bite to eat. Both of these locations are near the Highway 70 and Highway 24 intersection.
So that’s it for fast food in Morehead City NC, but as the area grows fast given the new Interstate planned for the area, we expect more options to come online soon, and for more restaurants that are open 24 hours a day to start popping up.
