The beaches of Emerald Isle are largely supported by locally owned restaurants, hotels and motels, and retail stores, although there are some large brand businesses in the area.
One of our favorite places to see and experience in this beach community is the area known as “the pointe” which is located at the end of Coast Guard Road and dead ends where the Atlantic Ocean and Bogue Sound meet at what we know as Bogue Inlet. Within this area, you’ll find beautifully maintained beach homes, deer on the beaches, nourished white sand and vegetation, and coastal marshlands which makes for a great place to walk and fish from waters edge.
