In this area, we recommend seeing the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shore, the quiet small town of Beaufort NC along with the Rachel Carson Wildlife Reserve, and taking a ferry over to Shackleford Banks to see the wild horses, and to climb the lighthouse at Cape Lookout.

Northern Region – Outer Banks

The Outer Banks of Coastal NC has a rich history and is a very popular family vacation destination for those that demand very remote beaches and seashore locations.
