Projections related to the new interstate show the county increasing it’s full-time resident and business growth by 30% or more. As a result, local municipalities and other government and business interests are gearing up for downtown, housing, and subdivision revitalization efforts in order to attract more investors, industries, and residents which will have a profound impact on the local economy, look, and feel of this area.

Additionally, Carteret County NC will continue to see a greater number of tourism season visitors to the county as the interstate nears completion and as access to the local area becomes easier from places near the Triad of NC.
