September 2018 Update: As a result of Hurricane Florence, the end of Oceanana Pier which housed the Barnacle bar was lost to the storm. The owners say they will rebuild this area of the pier along with the bar.
Information: Phone Number: 252-726-4111 – One of two fishing piers on Bogue Banks (the other is in Emerald Isle). On-site motel and family resort with kids play area, swimming pool and public beach access (paid). Restaurant on-site serving breakfast from 6am till 11am and dinner till 11pm. People wishing to fish at this pier DO NOT have to purchase a NC fishing license.
The Barnacle Bar is now located at the very end of the pier serving alcoholic drinks.
$15 per day rod and reel rental with deposit.
Fishing rates:
- Daily: $12 per adult, $6 for kids under 12 and fishing passes expire at 6am
- 3 day pass: $30
- 5 day pass: $50
- 7 day pass: $70
- Season pass: $300
Those staying at the family resort and motel receive complimentary fishing passes PRIOR to Memorial Day and AFTER Labor Day.

By gone, I assume you mean from the Hurricane. No, Oceanana is very much still there, just the tip was lost along with the Barnacle Bar.
