Pokemon Go In Carteret County NC? Anyone Still Play This Game Locally? Are There Any Meetups?

Is anyone still playing Pokemon Go in the Carteret County NC communities of Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Newport, Emerald Isle, or Harkers Island? Are there any local meetups for people playing this game? If so, use our comment form below to let us know where they are held so that others visiting the area can link up with someone.

We are pretty sure kids visiting this area on vacation love to explore a new place and we think it is a great way for kids to get out, explore their communities, and exercise. Actually, I would love to see local communities all over NC plan meetups for kids in their communities for this purpose.

Well, I guess it’s wrong to say just for kids, as I must admit at 50 years I have played Pokemon Go a few times and found it fascinating.

So where in the local area is the best place to find Pokemon and are there any special places that have great catches? It’s been a few years since I played, how has the game evolved since it first came out?

I know in Atlantic Beach and Morehead City there were a few rare catches to find, but again I don’t know if the game is evolved and they are still there?

So what are your most sought after catches to find? What level are you at? How long did it take you to get there? And, if there are no local meetups, are you interested in starting one in Carteret County NC?

Has the game evolved to where you can compete with others locally or nationally? I know when the game first came out I saw that as the next big step in the evolution of this super fun game.

I stopped playing Pokemon Go, but picked it back up about a year ago. There has been many improvements in the app. Also, there are now field research challenges that keep you interested and busy. Its been hard to locate pokemon, pokestops and gyms near Emerald Isle entrance/Cedar Point.

I still remember when the Pokémon app came out and people went wild in the county. You could literally see them walking around the county paying no attention and walking out in traffic. I have two family members that were very serious about this app and game and would spend hours a day walking around Beaufort and Morehead looking for them.

I mean I guess it was great exercise.
