NEWPORT COMMUNITY PARK
Located on Howard Boulevard in downtown Newport NC, this park and playground is a great opportunity for parents to sit and watch their children to play in a safe area that offers swings, ladders, slides, and climbing area. This location also has convenient seating for parents and picnic tables, public restrooms, and a water fountain.
Additionally, this location has a baseball and softball field where local little league teams play and grill areas for cooking out. This area was recently remolded to have safe padding around all play areas that are safe for everyone.
FORT BENJAMIN PARK
Located in the Town of Newport NC at 100 McQueen Ave, Fort Benjamin Park offers basketball, lighted tennis courts, and clean and safe playground equipment for kids to slide, swing, and climb. This location is the site for many public activities for parents and children, has a great community walking area, soccer fields, exercise station path, disc golf, public restrooms, and picnic tables. This playground is very modern, inclusive, and built with safety in mind.
Additionally, the Newport Police Department monitors this location and Newport Community Park frequently.
